Jade Rose – Adams 12 – Owner/Skipper Ian Brownhill

Ian is one of the most experienced competitors in the SCOR having been involved in racing since he was 7 years old. Originally from Victoria, Ian competed in many offshore races including the Tasmanian ‘West Coaster’ from Melbourne to Hobart. His racing achievements include winning the King of the Derwent race in 1989!

Ian also holds the record for the fastest racing time from Port Douglas to Lizard Island –just 9 hours sailed at night. Ian made significant contributions to the SCYC as Commodore for 3 years and will be competing in the PHS Division of the SCOR.
